Therapy for Dyslexia

Dyslexia?

Dyslexia is a specific learning condition that makes it difficult for children to read.

The signs of dyslexia can look different at different ages and sometimes the condition isn’t picked up until later on.

It is not a visual problem. It is not seeing letter backwards or a problem with the level of intelligence.

Children with dyslexia processes written material differently which makes them have

  • trouble with accuracy and fluency in word recognition, poor spelling and decoding ability
  • difficulty with Reading Comprehension, age appropriate grammar Difficulty, Sentence Structure, Acquiring Vocabulary and more in-depth writing
  • may reverse numbers and letters without realizing

Dyslexia is not a disease or an illness that can be cured, though when diagnosed in the early years,

it gives a better scope for effective intervention and with the right guidance and support,

we can help the child reach his/her maximum potential.
